BIO

JUMBEE is a DJ, producer, cultural tastemaker, and event curator operating at the intersection of Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, and global club music. With Trinidadian roots and a Florida foundation, his sound is shaped by real-world experience across the diaspora—bridging New York, Miami, Lagos, and the Caribbean into one cohesive sonic language.

Active behind the decks since 2013, Jumbee has built his reputation on instinct—reading rooms, breaking records, and shaping energy in real time. This reputation has led him to travel globally as the official DJ for Rema, performing on some of the world’s biggest stages and gaining direct insight into international audiences at scale.

He is also the founder of the One Motion Afrobeats DJ Collective, a network of DJs pushing the culture forward and redefining the global sound of Afrobeats within nightlife.

That same real-time experience fuels his work in the studio, where he creates what he calls “lifestyle music”—records designed to live in the club, travel across borders, and soundtrack real moments.

Beyond music, Jumbee is the force behind a growing event curation platform, developing experiences like GNTD (Guaranteed), Peppa, and IYKYK—each designed to reflect different pockets of diaspora culture while maintaining a consistent standard: a good time is always guaranteed. Through these events, he doesn’t just play the culture—he actively shapes it, building environments where sound, community, and energy meet.

More than an artist, Jumbee operates as a sonic curator and experience architect—someone embedded in the culture with direct access to the rooms, the crowds, and the creators defining what’s next. Whether behind the boards, on stage, or curating a room, he delivers moments that connect, elevate, and move with purpose.
